I had a fantastic one-night stay in a King Room at the Fleece At Ruleholme. The architecture and decor caught my eye immediately. The room featured high-quality fixtures, including a charming roll-top bath and a shower with multiple settings. The bed felt wonderfully plush, ensuring a great night's sleep. I loved the added touches like a mini-bar and tea facilities. The presence of a comfortable lounge and a galleried library enhanced the atmosphere. I noticed the staff in the dining room could benefit from more training. They missed details, such as clearing plates and pouring wine promptly, which took away from an otherwise lovely meal. The location is also a highlight, with beautiful surroundings that contribute to the hotel’s inviting atmosphere.

Cozy atmosphere made the stay somewhat soothing.
My experience was overshadowed by the terrible food. It was inedible and caused severe food poisoning, leaving me ill for hours. The staff was overwhelmed, and the long wait for our meal only added to the frustration. I had hoped for a lovely weekend away, but instead it became a nightmare of illness and disappointment.

Exceptional comfort and service
I recently enjoyed a night in a Superior King Room, and it was delightful! The decor behind every corner, combined with an opulent free-standing tub and a spa-like shower, truly enhanced my experience. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the outstanding customer service from the staff made my stay unforgettable. The only area for improvement would be to offer more diverse breakfast options to match the wonderful surroundings.

Amazing stay with some quirks
Had a lovely night here! Super comfy room and the complementary drinks were a nice touch. Breakfast was fab and the staff were really friendly. Just a tiny hiccup with the bathroom needing better shower pressure, though. Oh, and the bar area was chill with a great vibe for evening drinks.

I was totally impressed by the cozy atmosphere and found the exposed wood decor really charming. The evening meal was a standout, especially the triple cooked chips they served up. Plus, the hotel offers electric car recharge points, which is rare and super handy!
Felt very homey, no complaints at all.

The room was spacious, with a stunning freestanding tub and a luxurious shower that resembled a spa experience. Immaculately clean, the design showcased a charming blend of traditional and modern elements, making it a visually pleasing stay. The freshly cooked food, including the homemade bread, was a standout feature. Though the pricing may not appeal to all, the unique atmosphere and quality justify it.

An unexpected gem just off the motorway, with large, stylish rooms that are impeccably clean. The warm and helpful staff enhance the experience, while the food, especially the grilled dishes, is freshly prepared and truly delectable. A great choice for anyone traveling to Scotland, making it our preferred stop in the area.

missingWrote a review on Jun 12charming decorconvenient charginguncomfortable beds
The decor strikes a unique blend between modern and traditional, showcasing an abundance of anthropomorphic prints that add character to common areas. The establishment features electric car charging points, a handy touch for those traveling with an electric vehicle.
The twin beds in the Deluxe Double or Twin Room felt quite narrow, making for an uncomfortable night's sleep. Views from the room are less than ideal, overlooking bins and the kitchen’s smoking area. The lack of breakfast inclusion for a £190 room rate feels like a missed opportunity for added value.

Perfect for a weekend getaway!
Had a lovely stay! The king room was super comfy, and we loved the pet package. Our dog had a blast with all the extras. The bar area was nice for drinks, and the Sunday roast we had was delish. Just wish the lamb portion was a bit bigger. left me wanting more meat!
